The album Aurora comes to the world as a stylistic but not conceptual divergence from the rest of the In the Shadow of Being's material. Three different pianos, string, and brass orchestras, and synthesizer compose the instrumental part of the music. The album tells the next page of the same story that the whole project does.

The main idea of the record is to sketch the natural moments of reality and the human in it at the junction of two wet and cold seasons—autumn and winter; the main image of the album is the phenomenon of polar lights.

Several of the album works were written long before the project's foundation, waiting for an hour to be completed, supplemented, combined with something more ambitious and perfect. So, the time range of writing this album is four years.

There are nine paintings written exclusively for the album by Tat'yana Zaplatkina, brought to life by the talent of CG artist Arsenij “Ars Zayan” Zayanchkovskij. These works are a complement of imagery and expressiveness to musical material.
