Music Is the Language of Nature is the debut of In the Shadow of Being. The album was released one year after the instrumental project was founded, and the first work No More Time was published in Sketchbook.

Difficulties at certain times of the author's life brought him very close to music. The experience showed it to him from the best side: as an emotional language. He often needed some life support having an ardent temperament, which turned out to be music. Its truly natural organization gave the author answers to many questions of life and brought him up as a person.

The album's title is associated with the importance of music in the author's worldview. We all interact with each other, and the relations have a very different color. We have both happy and tragic moments of life. We're developing in stages. All this is like a mathematical pendulum that moves due to the interaction of forces within its system. And music is like this, as S. Grigor'ev said: “Harmony is the most common functional principle of musical structure that is a dialectical interaction of stability and instability...” (translated from Russian).

This album is a mix of progressive metal, orchestral and electronic music. It's a half-hour dramatic musical story ― from No More Time to Line by Line ― ends with Quintessence contains all the themes from the previous tracks connected by its own. Also, there's The Dark Is Best for Shine bonus track that is a revised version of the author's composition written before the In the Shadow of Being.
